In the Treaty Reinsurers page, you can link the treaties that have been created in the Treaties page and its layers to reinsurers. Each treaty and layer can have more than one reinsurer. Before navigating to this page, you should have selected a treaty from the Treaties page. Accordingly, it will be displayed in the Treaty Reinsurers page along with the layer details.
To add a reinsurer to a treaty layer, begin by clicking on the layer in the Treaty Layer List block. Then, in the Treaty Reinsurer Share Entry block, perform the following steps:
§ Note that the Treaty Name and Layer Name will be displayed automatically with the relevant data;
§ Select the reinsurer from the Reinsurer/Broker list. This list will be filled with all reinsurers that were defined in ESKA® Business Manager and were given the role as ‘Reinsurer’. Once you make your selection, the Reinsurer Account field will display the reinsurer's account;
§ Enter in the Share Percentage, which is the reinsurer share to be taken from the ceded premium percentage;
§ Enter in the Leader Fees and Tax Percentage. A fee was already defined in the Treaty Layers block of the Treaties page; however, if you wish to enter in a customised commission for a certain reinsurer, you can do so here;
§ Check-in the Reinsurer is Broker checkbox if the selected reinsurer is a broker;
§ Check-in the Is Leader checkbox if the selected reinsurer is a Leader;
§ Once you have finished entering in all necessary data, click.
If the reinsurer you have defined is a broker and you would like to list the reinsurers that the broker will deal with on your treaty, you can do so by selecting a reinsurer. Accordingly, the Treaty Broker/ Reinsurer Shares List will be displayed. Click on this block and fill out the related fields. Click to save your data.
To copy the reinsurers from one layer to another layer, click on. Upon doing so, the Copy Treaty Reinsures Shares will display where you can select the From Treaty Layer No and To Treaty Layer No, then click on to complete the transaction as displayed below:
