Using the Agent Books page, you can define the various agent books. Once these books have been created, each page of the book will be defined in the system. Each form that is given to an agent is filled out in the system in order to keep track of all forms that have been distributed.
To define an agent book, perform the following steps:
§ Enter in the Book Number
and select the Book Date, which is the date that this book was handed to
the agent;
§ Select the Insurance Class and
Policy Type of the book that is being created;
§ Select the Business Type;
either ‘Direct’, ‘Inward’, or ‘Coinsurance’;
§ Select the radio button
corresponding to the type of book; either Policy, Endorsement, or
All;
§ Choose the Agent/Broker
from the drop-down list;
§ Choose the Status whether
it is active or declared;
§ Choose the Returned Date ;
§ In the Page From and Page
To fields, enter the range of page numbers of the book that is being
created. Once this book has been saved, a form will be created for each page
number as a ‘Book Detail’;
§ Once you have finished entering
the necessary data, click.
Once the entry has been saved, the pages within the book will all be listed in the Book Details block. When an agent takes a form and then returns it, the details should be filled out in the relevant book page. To update a book page, select it from the Book Details block and fill in the Agent Name and any notes that are pertinent. Once you have finished, click;
To add the book details, you need to select the Page from the Book Details block by clicking on it, and then update its details in the Book Details Entry block;
§ The Book Number is auto-generated by the system;
§ The Page Number is auto-retrieved by the system according to the page selected from the Book details block;
§ Enter the Page Date;
§ The Agent Name is auto retrieved by the system;
§ Enter the Returned Date;
§ Enter any necessary Notes;
§ Click to save the changes you have made;
