Manually adding policy business discounts allows you to associate a certain discount type to any business type, insurance class and policy type available in the system. You can further associate the discount type to a specific interest type.
To manually add policy business discounts, click in the Policy Business Discounts block and then you need to go through the following steps:
§ Enter the Discount Order;
§ Select the Discount Type
you want from a list that was previously defined in the Discount Types page;
§ Select the Business Type,
Insurance Class, Policy Type and Subject Type
you want to associate with the selected discount type;
§ Enter the Discount Percent
or Discount Amount;
§ Select the Cover Type from
a list of cover types that were defined through the Cover
Types page located in the Covers
Premium sub-module. Note that the
cover types will be filtered according to the Insurance class, Policy Type and
Interest Type definitions of the interest selected;
§ Check-in the Auto Add
checkbox to allow the system to automatically retrieve this discount type
whenever it is necessary. For example, when adding a policy that belongs to a
certain insurance class and policy types, the discount type will be
automatically set by the system as defined through this page;
§ Check-in the Make Voucher in
Financial System checkbox to generate a separate financial voucher for the
selected policy business discount(s);
§ Once you have finished entering
the necessary data, click;
