Through the
Risk Category page, you can categorise risks for certain insurance classes and
treaties. Each category has a placement percentage. This enables you to lower
the layer capacity without changing the original capacity used in certain
policies.
To add a
risk category, click and then perform the following steps:
§ The Company Name will be automatically displayed by the system;
§ Select the Insurance Class for this risk category;
§ Select the Policy Type if so desired;
§ Enter in the Category Number;
§ Enter in the Risk Category name. In Risk Category 2 you can enter in the risk category name in the second language of the system as well;
§ Select the Treaty Name for this risk category. You can select from a filtered list of treaties that belong to the selected insurance class. Accordingly, the system will automatically retrieve the Treaty Capacity, in addition to the treaty’s Inception Date, Expiry Date and Underwriting Year;
§ Select which treaty layer on which you want to apply the risk reinsurance by selecting the layer from the predefined list in the Apply On field;
§ Enter in the Placement Percentage of the risk category;
§ Original Category and renewed Category will be filled automatically upon renewing the plan by clicking , the renewed one will have original number filled and the original one will have the renewed number filled when desired;
§ Once you have finished entering the necessary data, click.
After defining the
risk categories, you can link it with an extra level such as binding the Risk
in Property Class with Interest Type, and binding Marin category with Interest
Type and Vessel Age Ranges
To bind the Risk Category, you need to select the Risk and then click in the Bounded Risk Category List block and then fill in the necessary information in the Risk Category Binding Entry block;
